The Rise

The Rise is a 605,000-square-foot, multi-use building located at West 8th Ave. and Cambie St. The building, which sits on an entire city block, will rise seven stories above grade. The building will serve three primary uses; parkade (500 stalls at 300,000 sf), commercial (210,000 sf), and residential (92 live/work units at 95,000 sf).

The concrete structure (1,376,126 sf of formwork and 45,772 cy of concrete) will require 20 months to construct with an overall schedule of 30 months. The exterior finishes will be curtain wall, masonry, architectural concrete and painted concrete, with steel accents on the commercial areas and metal cladding and painted concrete on the residential areas. The commercial interior areas will be unfinished ready for tenant fit-outs, while the residential suites will be completely finished.
